INTERVIEW

Prior to being able to access the Elite Four, potential champion candidates are screened in an interview process to check for the rightness and fitness of becoming champion. Any member of the Elite Four may be approached to perform this character interview, though the selection methods and decision making may differ between each member. This specific interview process is for Callan only, although other members may take reference or have similar ideas in mind.[break][break]

The interview is a test of character. For this interview, please consider the traits in which your character possesses that make them worthy of the title of Champion. After your interview, Callan will display the results here after assessment. [break][break]

The 7 day time limit applies to the interviews as well.

E4 CHALLENGE

BATTLE

Whereas in gym battles a trainer seeks to learn and educate themselves, the Elite Four challenge is an assessment of whether or not the prospective is capable of defeating the top Champion. Traditionally, PVP has been an ICly difficult but generally agreeable OOC with a mutual understanding of what combat outcomes entail. However, with recent rule changes and encouragement in failing for character development, this could lead to conflict or drama if rules are not made to create constants.[break][break]

Please keep in mind the objective: To determine whether or not you are worthy of challenging the Top Champion. Expect losses if you come unprepared. The challenge may be adjusted in the future, or if there are too many or too few losses by the member base. I will consider relaxing certain standards during the match if the challenger is struggling, but a win will not be guaranteed if poor decisions are made.

Standard Rules

1.) The challenge is a 3v3 single battle. Both parties may forfeit at any time.[break][break]

2.) You may only use 2 moves a turn, 1 for offense (e.g. Body Slam, Thunder Wave, Taunt, Toxic Spikes) and 1 for defense (Agility, Protect) or utility (Bulk Up, Swords Dance).[break][break]

3.) If in case of OOC disagreement regarding a turn, this should first be discussed by both parties. If no agreement can be made, a mod req will be made to determine the outcome of the ruling with 'battle ruling' as request. Neither party can contact the mod regarding the battle under any circumstance. If the mod is contacted regarding the ruling, the battle ends without any rewards. This constitutes both metagaming and tampering. The only exception to this instance is if a reminder is required to ask the mod to update regarding the ruling.[break][break]

4.) Damage will be referenced from calculations using Pokemon with Blank Sets on Showdown Calculations (Link). These damage values are not set in stone, and can be decided on a case by case basis. However, the damage calculation is meant to show you the severity of the attack to prevent godmodding.[break][break]

5.) Held items are allowed (Including Megastone or Z-Crystal). If no held items are used by the opponent, Callan will not use held items.[break]

• Mega Evolution requires a Mega Stone as a held item. Mega-Evolution gives a +1 boost to all base parameters of the Pokemon for three rounds and heals status and health back to full.
• Z-Moves require a Z-Crystal as a held item.
• Terastalization does NOT require a held item.

6.) Mega-Evolution, Terastalization, and Z-Moves may each be used once. [break][break]

7.) Defender may use rolls to defend against moves with accuracy lower than 100%. If successful, no action is required to avoid or dodge the attack. If unsuccessful, the defender must defend or take damage from the move normally. [break][break]

8.) The standard 7-day post time for battles apply for this E4 challenge.
